MEALS & LOCAL ATTENDANCE




MEALS

As a cost-saving measure, ASI will issue two types of meal tickets/cards for the 2012 ASI International Convention.

•    MEAL CARD—If you register for the convention with meals, you will receive a single meal card. This same meal card must be presented at the dining hall for each of your meals.

•    MEAL TICKETS—If you purchase additional meals onsite, you will be given brightly colored meal tickets, one for each meal purchased. The appropriate meal card must be presented at the dining hall door. Tickets purchased specifically for one meal may not be used for a different meal.

Each time you come to the dining hall, please make sure to have your MEAL CARD or the appropriate MEAL TICKET in your hand. The first checkpoint greeter will confirm your CARD or TICKET before you enter the dining hall queue.  At the second checkpoint, the appropriate meal on your CARD will be punched, or your TICKET will be collected, and you will pass through a turnstile into the dining hall. Thank you for your cooperation in making the dining hall process enjoyable for all. Bon appétit!

Attendees:  You may purchase meals when you register. Meals are not automatically included with attendee registration but must be purchased separately. A meal packet includes 7 meals (breakfast and supper on Thursday and Friday; and breakfast, lunch, and supper on Sabbath).

Exhibitors:  Each exhibitor registration includes on meal packet (breakfast and supper on Thursday and Friday; and breakfast, lunch, and supper on Sabbath). Exhibitor assistant meals must be purchased separately.

Local Guests:  Sabbath meals must be pre-purchased for both locals and attendees. Please plan to purchase meals on Thursday or Friday and not during the registration rush on Wednesday. Registration will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Purchase:  Visit the Rates & Registration page to register and purchase meals.To expedite the onsite registration process and avoid long registration lines, please purchase meals prior to arrival using either the online registration system or by submitting a registration form. If purchased onsite, Friday supper and Sabbath meals must be purchased before noon on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012. (No onsite registration or meal purchases may be made by phone.).

LOCAL GUESTS

Local guests who do not have travel distances that require overnight stays may attend Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evening sessions and Sabbath programs (all day) for free. No on-site registration for local guests is required.

Adult seminars and day programs for children and youth on Thursday and Friday are open only to those who have registered and paid as regular convention attendees. Local guests should not drop their children off during those time periods without first purchasing regular registration for both themselves and their children or youth.


LOCAL RESTAURANTS

Convention meals will not be provided for lunch on Thursday and Friday. A listing of local restaurants is available at the following link:
