Charlotte Bramble's mission

Posted on Nov 18, 2009

When 18-year-old Charlotte Bramble left her North England home in 2007 to attend the ARISE Institute for Soul-Winning and Evangelism in Troy, Mich. (now in Sonora, Calif.), she was there on a specific mission.

ASI Europe helped sponsor Charlotte's attendance at ARISE on condition that she return and coordinate youth evangelism programs in the United Kingdom. Charlotte kept her promise.

After 3 1/2 months at ARISE, Charlotte went home and started planning. Thanks to the efforts of Charlotte and her dedicated team of youth Bible workers and leaders in the North England Conference, the first ASI Youth for Jesus program began in February 2009 in Nottingham, England, and lasted for six months. The results were phenomenal.

During the YFJ program, five dedicated youth Bible workers worked in the local community, conducting Bible studies and training church members. In March, a four-day AdvANCE event, sponsored by the North England Conference, was concurrently held in Nottingham. (AdvANCE is much like the GYC conference held yearly in North America.) The five YFJ Bible workers gave 200 of the AdvANCE youth 20 minutes of training, and
then led them out into the community where they conducted surveys and solicited 150 Bible study interests in just two hours.

During the last three weeks of the six-month YFJ program, a special YFJ Field School of Evangelism training intensive was held—from June 28–July 21. An additional 21 youth from across North England came especially for the field school and to assist in the evangelistic series, which was the culmination of the six-month YFJ program. The field school was taught by other Spirit-filled young people and youth leaders.

As a result of the entire six-month program and the accompanying evangelistic series (attended by 200 visitors), 47 people requested baptism—20 of whom have since been baptized. Many more are still taking Bible studies. Graduates of the evangelism training program have started teaching Bible boot camp (Bible study training) and conducting door-to-door outreach programs in their home churches.

"God has done an incredible work in Nottingham, and yet this is but a taste of what His plans are. There are many more youth who are answering the call to be His hands and feet to reach souls in England," says Charlotte, now 20. "ASI Europe's members have been a powerful tool in God's hands, and we are so grateful! Pray for the work of ASI Youth for Jesus UK as we plan for 2010 in Birmingham!"
