LIGHT gathers momentum at GC Session
LIGHT (Lay Institute for Global Health Training), based in Wildwood, Ga., received numerous requests from every continent for its one-month training course during the recent GC Session in Atlanta. LIGHT is building its first administrative office at Wildwood Lifestyle Center, which will make it easier to coordinate the organization's growing work around the world.
Meanwhile, LIGHT has recently completed twelve one-month courses in various parts of India. Three teaching teams have stayed on to conduct three six-month courses that will finish in September. Over 300 medical missionaries have been trained in India so far.
In Spain, LIGHT has completed its spring course, with 28 graduates. LIGHT is now looking for a permanent health center in that country to conduct training and continue community outreach.
As of this month, LIGHT has collectively completed 43 one-month courses around the world and has trained more than 1,000 missionaries. Current work continues in the Philippines, Guatemala, Belize, China, South Africa, Kenya, Thailand, Australia and Indonesia.
